Our institute is a prime partner for organizations, governments and other entities as we are outstanding in both research and teaching and the CIIS is a regular recipient of international awards:

• Awards held by members of the institute include an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, the 2017 CIONET Research Paper of the Year, Albertus- Magnus Prize, the GI Innovation Prize, and an AIS Fellowship Award
• The CIIS ranks among the top 3 research institutions in the field of Information Systems in Germany, and the Top 50 worldwide
• In the ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche the CIIS is in 2nd place among the German universities with the strongest research in the field of business administration
• Prof. Recker is awarded 1st place among the professors with the strongest research under 40 in the German-speaking countries; Prof. Rosenkranz ranked 4th.

This excellence in research and teaching benefits also our students and every year about 210 first-year students start their studies at KIWI (150 Bachelor, 60 Master).
