Roman Tilly is a post-doctoral researcher in the research group of Information Systems and Information Management at the University of Cologne. Previously, he was a research assistant at the Department of Information Systems and Information Management. He received his doctorate degree in Information Systems from the University of Cologne. He also holds a Diploma degree (equivalent to a Master’s degree) in Information System from the University of Cologne.

In his research and teaching, he focuses on digital transformation and innovation, information quality in social information systems, and recommender systems. His work has been published in academic journals like Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE) and Electronic Markets (EM), and presented on academic conferences like International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), European Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and Wirtschaftsinformatik (WI).

He also conducts and leads industry projects in business intelligence and data analytics that focus, for example, on predictive modeling of customer behavior.

Besides, Roman works part-time as an independent consultant for different companies.
